How to Order Custom Branded Corporate Gifts in the UAE

By GiftNYou Team · 12 May 2026 · 6 min read

Custom logo gifts are one of the highest-return investments in corporate relationship management, but only when they are executed correctly. This guide covers everything you need to know: how the process works, what to ask your supplier, and how to avoid the mistakes that cost companies time, money, and brand credibility.

Every year, businesses across the UAE spend significant budgets on branded merchandise that misses the mark, wrong colours, delayed delivery, poor print quality, or products that recipients discard rather than keep. The gap between a forgettable branded gift and one that genuinely strengthens a business relationship is almost entirely a process gap, not a budget gap. Spend smarter, plan earlier, and brief better. Here is how.

Why this matters now: With Eid Al Adha falling on 6 June 2026 and National Day in December, the two biggest corporate gifting windows of the year are both approaching. The decisions you make in the next few weeks will determine whether your brand lands with impact or gets lost in a pile of generic hampers.

Step One,Define Your Brief Before You Contact Anyone

The single biggest mistake UAE companies make when ordering custom logo gifts is approaching a supplier without a clear brief. This leads to back-and-forth delays, compromised design choices made under time pressure, and products that do not reflect the brand accurately. Before you make a single call or send a single email, know the answers to these five questions.

1. Who are the recipients?

Custom branded gifts work differently for different audiences. A co-branded gift box for a C-suite client at a regional bank demands a different product, finish, and presentation than a team gift for 200 employees. Segment your recipient list before anything else,at minimum into two tiers: premium recipients (top clients, senior leaders, key partners) and standard recipients (broader employee base, general client list). This segmentation will drive every other decision.

2. What is the occasion?

In the UAE, branded gifts most commonly go out for Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, National Day, Diwali, Christmas, and company milestones. Each occasion carries different cultural weight and different expectations. Eid gifts lean into tradition and warmth; National Day gifts celebrate shared identity; milestone gifts can be more functional and premium. Knowing the occasion shapes the product category, the packaging palette, and the tone of any accompanying message.

3. What is the per-unit budget?

Be specific. "Mid-range" means different things to different suppliers. In the UAE corporate gifting market, the functional budget tiers are: under AED 100 (utility gifts, branded stationery, small edibles); AED 100–250 (curated hampers, branded premium items); AED 250–500 (luxury hampers, leather goods, high-end fragrance); and AED 500+ (bespoke gifts, personalised premium items). Know which tier you are in before briefing, and communicate it plainly.

4. What quantity do you need?

Minimum order quantities vary significantly by product category and customisation method. For printed boxes and packaging, most premium suppliers in the UAE require a minimum of 50 units for custom printing. For embossed or foil-stamped items, minimums may be higher. For screen printing on textiles, 30–50 units is typical. If your order is below these thresholds, discuss this upfront, some suppliers offer digital printing alternatives with lower minimums, though the finish quality differs.

5. What is the hard delivery deadline?

Work backwards from the occasion date, not forwards from your order date. If gifts need to be in recipients' hands by 3 June ahead of Eid, and delivery across the UAE takes two to three business days, gifts need to leave the supplier's facility by 29 May at the latest. That means production needs to be complete by 27 May. That means your order, including approved artwork and confirmed delivery addresses, needs to be placed no later than 12–15 May for any custom production. Build this timeline before you contact suppliers, not after.

Step Two,Understanding Customisation Options

Not all branding is equal. The method used to apply your logo to a product significantly affects the perceived quality of the finished gift. Here is a clear breakdown of the main options available from reputable UAE suppliers.

Method Best For Quality Level Lead Time
Embossing Leather goods, rigid gift boxes, notebooks Premium, tactile, understated 10–14 business days
Foil Stamping Packaging lids, cards, rigid boxes Premium,gold/silver finish 10–14 business days
UV Printing Boxes, bottles, hard surfaces High, full colour, precise 7–10 business days
Screen Printing Tote bags, apparel, soft goods Mid–High, durable, vibrant 5–8 business days
Laser Engraving Metal items, glassware, wood Premium, permanent, elegant 7–12 business days
Digital Print (CMYK) Packaging, cards, paper goods Standard, flexible, low MOQ 3–5 business days

For most corporate gifting in the UAE at the AED 150+ per unit level, embossing, foil stamping, or UV printing on premium rigid packaging is the benchmark. These methods communicate brand quality in a way that a digital-printed sticker or wraparound label does not. If a supplier is not offering these options at your budget level, push harder or look elsewhere.

Artwork requirement: All reputable suppliers will require your logo in vector format (AI, EPS, or high-resolution SVG) for any production-quality print or emboss work. A PNG or JPEG from your website will not produce acceptable results. If your team cannot supply a vector file, ask your supplier whether they can recreate it,most can, for a small artwork fee.

Step Three,What to Ask Your Supplier

Not all corporate gifting suppliers in the UAE operate to the same standards. Before placing a bulk order, ask these questions and evaluate the responses carefully.

Can you provide a physical sample or digital proof before full production? Any serious supplier will offer this. A digital proof is the minimum; a physical sample for orders above AED 10,000 in value is reasonable to request.

Who sources the products inside the gift boxes? For food and consumable items, dates, honey, sweets, ask about provenance and whether products carry necessary UAE food safety certifications. This matters for quality and for your brand's reputation.

What is the process if items arrive damaged or the branding is incorrect? Understand the remediation policy before you order, not after delivery.

Do you handle UAE-wide delivery and, if so, what are the delivery lead times by emirate? Same-day or next-day delivery is available across Dubai and Abu Dhabi from most established suppliers; outer emirates typically require two to three business days.

Can you provide individual recipient names on packaging or cards at scale? Personalisation at scale is a genuine capability differentiator. If this matters to you, confirm it is operationally possible before committing.

Step Four,The Approval Process

Once you have placed your order, the approval process is where delays most commonly occur. Companies that move through approvals quickly receive their gifts on time; those that let internal review cycles drag on do not. Here is a clean process to avoid that outcome.

Artwork Approval

Review the digital proof within 24 hours of receipt. Check logo placement, colour accuracy against your brand guidelines, and text for any errors. One round of revisions is standard; more than two rounds suggests a briefing gap.

Sample Sign-Off

If a physical sample was requested, assign one decision-maker to approve it. Committee reviews of physical samples introduce delays with no quality benefit. One person, one call.

Delivery List

Confirm your full delivery address list in a single structured file, name, company, address, emirate, phone number,at the same time as artwork approval. Do not send it in stages.

Payment

Most UAE suppliers require 50% upfront to commence production and the balance before dispatch. Have your finance approval in place before placing the order, not after proof review.

The Full Timeline,From Brief to Delivery

Day Milestone Owner
Day 0 Submit brief: product, quantity, budget, deadline, vector artwork Your team
Day 1–2 Supplier sends digital proof and order confirmation Supplier
Day 2–3 Approve proof; submit delivery address list; make deposit payment Your team
Day 3–12 Production (varies by customisation method, see table above) Supplier
Day 12–13 Quality check and packaging; balance payment Both
Day 13–16 UAE-wide delivery to all recipient addresses Supplier / courier

The total window from brief to delivery is typically 14–16 business days for embossed or foil-stamped custom gifts. For digital-print orders with no physical sample, the process can compress to eight to ten business days. Build your planning timeline around the longer estimate, production rarely finishes early, and courier delays in the UAE during peak gifting periods are common.

One final point that is easy to overlook: the gift card or message card inside the box is as important as the gift itself. A well-worded, brand-appropriate message, ideally personally signed or at minimum personalised by recipient name, adds warmth and intentionality that no product alone can replicate. Draft it as part of your brief, not as an afterthought on the day of dispatch.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
